A new book was published co-written by Chelsea Clinton and entitled Governing Global Health: Who Runs the World and Why? It currently stands at No. 74 374 on the Amazon Bestsellers Chart, a rare distinction for a “famous” author.
Almost no one is buying the Clinton title, co-authored by Devi Sridhar, a Global Public Health Professor at the University of Edinburgh, Heatstreet reported.
The book profiles global health organizations and was published by Oxford University Press. Despite the grand title, it gives no answer to the question “Who Runs the World and Why?”
Chelsea Clinton herself appears embarrased about the weak sales of her book. Her Twitter bio only mentions her one children’s book and apart from a few small mentions on Twitter, Chelsea seems more excited about backing JK Rowling in her Twitter spat with Piers Morgan to take down president Donald Trump.
Perhaps because her mother lost the race to “run the world” to Trump, the book is not selling. Her literary partner in crime, Sridhar is holding out hope for the book’s “official” launch in March, but no one is holding their breath.
The 36-year-old daughter of the former president and secretary of state is very unpopular with Democrats.
“Chelsea needs to go away,” said Guinevere Boyd, a 49-year-old from Alaska who attended a Democratic National Committee forum this weekend. “She has nothing to offer.”
Rumors swill that she is being groomed to run for a New York congressional seat because of her active Twitter account. In a 2015 interview with Sky News, Chelsea said she would “absolutely” consider running for office.
Her husband, Marc Mezvinsky, recently shut down his failed hedge fund, and the Clinton Foundation, where Chelsea is currently employed, is having trouble raising money from foreign governments and sketchy corporations since her mom lost the presidential election, Heatstreet reported.
