Trump’s approval rating dropped once again over the weekend, and it looks increasingly likely that he will end his first 100 days in office with record low support.
Not only did Trump’s approval number take a dip in the latest poll, but the president’s disapproval rating, which stood at 50 percent last week, tested new lows with four percentage points in just a few days.
The latest Gallup survey data released on Saturday shows that 40 percent of Americans approve of the job the president is doing, with 54 percent saying that they disapprove, AOL reported.
Trump’s 40 percent rating is the result of a three-point drop after climbing to 43 percent last Thursday.
In the poll conducted for ABC News and the Washington Post on Sunday, Trump’s predecessor Barack Obama had an approval margin of 69 to 26 percent, while the second most disliked president, Bill Clinton, showed a positive margin of 59 to 39 percent, according to the poll.
The public was broadly supportive of Trump’s handing of the recent North Korea escalation. The poll found that the president has maintained a loyal supporter base with over 95 percent.
In terms of policy issues, Trump’s efforts to prevent job outsourcing is most popular, with over 70 percent approving of his pressure on companies to keep jobs in the country.
But issues such as several of his close family members populating the White House, were much less popular.
