Car rams into cyclists in UK terror attack

A Sudanese immigrant is said to have been behind another terror attack on Westminster after smashing his car into 15 cyclists outside Parliament. He is known to police.

Salih Khater slammed into pedestrians and cyclists at Parliament Square, after spending the night driving around London, The Daily Mail reported. The Sudan-born British national, was identified by a European security source, according to Reuters.

Khater drove his silver Ford Fiesta into random people much like Khalid Masood did during his rampage on Westminster 17 months ago, outside Parliament in the previous terror attack.

Only one female cyclist was seriously injured in the latest attack, despite the assaillant hitting at least 15 cyclists and pedestrians during rush hour. Miraculously no one was killed.

Within minutes of the attack, the black driver was accosted by armed officers. The terror suspect offered no resistance during his arrest. He is being held in south London, but is not cooperating with police.

Scotland Yard’s head of counter-terrorism said no other suspects have been identified, although police are searching three properties as part of their investigation into the incident.
