AfD is the strongest party in East Germany
In a survey by the polling institute Emnid on Sunday about which German party would be a favourite in a federal election, the AfD came out as the strongest party in East Germany.

Sunday newspaper, the Bild am Sonntag reported that even if the AfD gained only a few more votes at the federal level, it has become very popular in East Germany. According to the survey, the party is ahead of the Christian Democrats.
With 23 percent of the vote, the Alternative for Germany has overtaken Chancellor Angela Merkel’s CDU. Her party currently receives 22 percent of voting intentions, according to Emnid.
The CDU is ahead of the Left (18 percent), the SPD (14 percent) and the Greens (12 percent). The FDP would only just reach the parliamentary hurdle with 5 percent.
The result is particularly explosive against the background of the upcoming elections in East Germany. Thus, a new state legislature will soon be elected in the federal states of Saxony, Thuringia and Brandenburg.
Besides the EU vote scheduled for 26 May, Germans will be voting on the same day in several state and municipal elections, which include 10 key cities and regions. And in September, Germans will choose their candidates in state elections in Brandenburg and Saxony.
The results of the poll in the West of the Federal Republic are completely different. There, the CDU/CSU Union continue to be the strongest party with 29 percent of the vote. Meanwhile the second largest party is the Greens (20 percent), while the AfD manages only 11 percent at fourth place in the survey.
At the federal level, the support of AfD has increased by one percent to 13, and the Greens by 2 percent to 19. Even the SPD has done slightly better in the polls again. Over the last few weeks, they had almost exclusively lost percentage points.
The survey took place in the period from April 11 to April 17, 2019, and some 2 709 people were interviewed.
The AfD stands a good chance of winning the most seats in the states of Brandenburg and Saxony this autumn, which could hasten the end of Merkel’s reign. The party is likely to seize control of dozens of local municipalities in elections to be held next month.
The AfD has mobilised disgruntled voters whose earning power and average life expectancy still lag behind while state funding goes to migrants. In 2017, the party became the third largest political force in the Bundestag.
But AfD members have complained about the increasing number of attacks against their party, not only in the mainstream media, but in the streets.
AfD members have told Sputnik that left-wing violence against the party has been escalating. “Other parties are afraid that AfD will get too many votes”, says Berlin regional parliamentary deputy and AfD member Gunnar Lindemann. “So, they try to fight against our party and our ideas — of course, not in a good way.”
AfD member Richard Gretzinger told Sputnik that when their members are beaten up by “left-wingers”, they are afraid to protect themselves.
“They break our signs, they pour paint over us. We cannot respond physically, because they will sue us. But they can do whatever they want — kick us, hit us etc. We call the police, but they don’t stick around, they tend to leave rather quickly”.
The AfD remains optimistic the upcoming EU parliamentary and domestic elections, despite the threats. It has also unveiled a famous orientalist painting for its campaign.
On its Facebook page, posted a 19th century Orientalist painting by French artist Jean-Leon Gerome, showing Muslim men inspecting a naked woman with the comment: “Definitely an eye-catcher.”
An AfD ribbon on the painting is seen with a caption that reads: “So that Europe does not become ‘Eurabia’…Europeans vote for the AfD!”
The term alludes to a Marxist-Islamist conspiracy against Europe, which aims to gradually change the European character from a secular Christian based civilisation to a theocratic Islamic one by means of mass immigration and open borders.
Gerome’s painting, titled “The Slave Market” warns that history should not be repeated. “Our motto: Learn from Europe’s history,” reads one AfD poster in Berlin.

NOAA Predicts Zero Sunspots for Almost the Whole 2030s
CLIMATEThe United States' government scientific organization, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), predicts zero sunspots from 2031 to 2040. This is an extreme situation that has not occurred in as long as humanity has been counting sunspots, and it leads us into uncharted territory in terms of our solar system. However, this prediction aligns with the warnings of the world-renowned solar researcher Valentina Zharkova for many years, who indicated in 2019 various signs of this catastrophic phenomenon, including the extreme hailstorms we have seen in Europe and the world this summer. The forecast and various observations this year give cause for very significant concern. In this unique analysis, Free West Media explains why.
European Nationalist Parties Forge Cooperation Ahead of EU Elections
EUROPEAN ELECTIONSOn Saturday, August 26, representatives of six European nationalist parties gathered in Budapest. The meeting was initiated by the Hungarian party Mi Hazánk and took place in the national parliament. Representatives of the parties signed a joint declaration that not only reaffirms the parties' friendship but also their unity on a range of complex political issues. A surprisingly clear and radical manifesto was established. The hope is that this cooperation will lead to success in the EU elections and eventually result in the formation of a group in the European Parliament. For Swedish nationalism, this meeting marks a success as Sweden, for the first time, has a party represented in a leading nationalist cooperation in Europe. Free West Media was present at this historic event.
Turkey Believes Sweden Hasn’t Done Enough
Sweden will have to wait a bit longer for NATO membership, according to Turkey's Justice Minister Jilmaz Tunc. First, Sweden must extradite the "terrorists" Turkey wants and stop the desecration of the Quran.
Swedish Weapon Takes Down Russia’s Best Attack Helicopter
The Russian attack helicopter Ka-52 is considered one of the world's best and has struck fear in Ukraine, where it has hunted down tanks and other armored vehicles, often beyond the range of many light anti-aircraft systems. However, it has met its match in the Swedish air defense missile system RBS 70, which has quickly led to significant losses for the Russian helicopter forces.
Strong Confidence in German AfD
Alternative for Germany (AfD) held a party conference on July 29-30 to select candidates for the upcoming EU election next year. EU Parliament member Maximilian Krah, belonging to the party's more radical, ethnonationalist faction, was appointed as the top candidate. The party's two spokespersons delivered powerful speeches criticizing the EU's failed migration policy and trade sanctions that isolate Europe and Germany from the rest of the world. They argued that it's time for the EU to return a significant portion of its power to national parliaments. However, they have dropped the demand for Germany to exit the EU.
The Establishment Wants to Ban Germany’s Second Largest Party – for the Sake of Democracy
The rising popularity of AfD has raised strong concerns within the establishment. Despite lies and demonization in the media and isolation from the overall political establishment, the party continues to grow. Certain representatives of the party are accused of becoming increasingly "extreme," and in an unusual move, the influential weekly newspaper Der Spiegel demanded that AfD be "banned."

The Ursula von der Leyen Affair
After a criminal complaint in Belgium against the President of the European Commission, the so-called SMS-case, now takes a new turn. The judge responsible for the investigation will likely gain access to the secret messages exchanged between Ursula von der Leyen and Albert Bourla, CEO of Pfizer, at least if they haven't been deleted.
Publisher of Unique Literature Worldwide Blocked by International Distributor
Arktos has distinguished itself by publishing groundbreaking philosophers and social critics. Now, the publisher's international distributor has abruptly terminated the cooperation, and more than 400 already printed titles cannot reach their audience. There is strong evidence that the distributor has been under pressure, something that has also happened in Sweden. We have spoken with Arktos founder Daniel Friberg about the ongoing struggle for freedom of speech in a shrinking cultural corridor.
