Busses lining South Canal Street in Chicago, YouTube

Marxist rebels without a cause

The protesters that have been bussed in to riot against Donald Trump's victory in the United States, have attracted a great deal of attention. Thanks to a media bias Hillary Clinton's demise was greeted with either a funerial atmosphere or mindless street violence.

The demonstrators in many American cities have little hope of ever stopping Trump from becoming president since he has been elected legally and constitutionally, which is why most have now openly embraced a Marxist revolutionary position with no clear goal beyond the barrage of insults.

For one thing, they were certainly not interested in specific election issues such as immigration, open borders, or jobs.

More than 50 percent of the anti-Trump protesters arrested in Portland, Oregon, after the election did not bother to vote. A search of state election records for 2016 was conducted by a Portland television station which reported that of the 112 protesters that were arrested, 69 of them could not be found to have turned in a ballot or were not registered to vote.

The local NBC affiliate in Portland took the names and ages of those arrested to Multnomah County election officials who did a search on the state’s voter files. Only 25 of those arrested voted in 2016 in the state. The number of non-voters may even be higher, as KGW reported, because authorities were still trying to verify their voting records.

Even though the purpose of the protests might be to persuade some of the electors on the Electoral College to switch support to Hillary Clinton from Donald Trump, defying the voters of their states, it does not change the fact that violence is being committed in the the names of both Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama with nary a peep from them to stem the tide of public unrest.

Trump’s advisers on Sunday described the participants as “professional” disruptors and called on Democratic leaders to tell them to go home. President Obama, Hillary Clinton, Sen. Bernie Sanders, Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid and other Democrats needed to intervene post haste to stop the unrest unfolding from Los Angeles to Manhattan, Team Trump said.

“The president of the United States, Secretary Clinton, Bernie Sanders, perhaps, others can come forward and ask for calm and ask for a peaceful transition and ask their supporters, which are masquerading as protesters now — many of them professional and paid by the way, I’m sure — ask them to give this man a chance so that this country can flourish,” campaign manager Kellyanne Conway told Fox News Sunday.

Former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani said protesters have targeted him and were “banging on my car”. Conway complained that protesters were spitting on her in the street.

But the calls for violence have only increased. Film director Paul Schrader has openly incited hate crime against the Republican president-elect.

“I have spent the last five days meditating on Trump’s election. Upon consideration, I believe this is a call to violence. I felt the call to violence in the 60’s and I feel it now again,” Schrader wrote on Facebook.

“This attack on liberty and tolerance will not be solved by appeasement. Obama tried that for eight years. We should finance those who support violence resistance. We should be willing to take arms. Like Old John Brown, I am willing to battle with my children. Alt right nut jobs swagger violence. It’s time to actualize that violence, Like by Civil War Michigan predecessors I choose to stand with the black, the brown and the oppressed,” he concluded his rant.

Guardian columnist Monisha Rajesh tweeted last week, “It’s about time for a presidential assassination,” in response to Trump’s victory and CEO Matt Harrigan became unhinged, posting that he was “going to kill the president elect” using a “sniper rifle”. Both have since lost their jobs. They weren’t alone. Thousands have taken to social media to call for an assassination.

The media has meanwhile completely ignored a flood of cases where Trump supporters are being abused and assaulted nationwide. CBS is more worried about the “fate” of Muslims and Latinos potentially being “harassed”, with scant evidence of such instances.

CBS’s President David Rhodes is the brother of Ben Rhodes, Obama’s Deputy National Security Adviser for Strategic Communications and at ABC News President Ben Sherwood, has a sibling not only working for Obama, but working at the National Security Council on foreign policy. ABC has also attacked Trump and his supporters constantly in order to make the rioters look legitimate.

CNN is equally reluctant in covering the lack of reason for the protests because the CNN deputy bureau chief, Virginia Moseley, is married to Hillary Clinton’s deputy, Tom Nides. It seems the media is not covering the incitement, as it has become a family matter for some of them.

Ben Sherwood’s sister, Dr. Elizabeth Sherwood-Randall, is the Special Assistant to Barack Obama and Tom Nides, is the Deputy Secretary of State for Management and Resources.

New Jersey Sen. Cory Booker and Minnesota Rep. Keith Ellison – an early favorite for Democratic National Committee chairman – were busy fanning the fires too, saying it’s the priority of Democrats to exercise their First Amendment rights. “God bless the protesters,” Booker said on NBC’s “Meet the Press.”

“These folks are telling Donald Trump that if he tries to move out on his plan to have a deportation squad, to harm Americans, and if he … tries to do that, we’re going to be there to stand and say no,” Ellison told ABC’s “This Week” in order to provide some strange logic for their campaign since Americans won’t be harmed as they are not illegal aliens.

What is striking about the protest is that American rioters and their sympathisers have developed a sense of negative self-awareness. They believe “others” are finding them less cool, fashionable, trendy and moral since Trump won the election. But the “others” are never defined unless the Mexican flags spotted at several riots were meant to portray something.

Hillary Clinton’s victory would simply have perpetuated for a further four years this failed and discredited system of mindless leftist conformism, an American college hipster cult of personal injury, that has become a global oil stain.

It is a system where democratic politics has ceased to function in any meaningful way, so that countries like Libya, Iraq and Syria can be destroyed, and democratically elected governments can be overthrown in Honduras and Ukraine, without anyone protesting or even knowing about it. The rioters. who prefer screaming about their perceived victimhood, and put their hurt feelings on public display, have dominated the political scene in the US from this beginning of this electoral cycle.

A month ago the US found itself in a dangerous military stand-off with the Russians in Syria, but the American people were left completely in the dark. Instead they were incredulously protesting against the inclusion of “all lives” into the “only” Black Lives Matter banner events.

US domestic politics have been totally captured by powerful organised lobbies, often from abroad, as if to challenge 1936 Franklin Roosevelt’s warning of how “government by organised money was as dangerous as government by organised mob”.

Donald Trump’s election offers an opportunity to break from this system. If the protests that followed his election were the beginning of some sort of return to real politics – as opposed to the virtual reality post-modern self-absorbed issues, it might be an improvement.

The mostly white protesters in the US largely have no idea what they are protesting for, only what they are protesting against. Are they protesting for Hillary Clinton and for a return to the unloved and unsatisfactory pre-Trump status quo? If so, then their efforts will be no more than a spasm of a discredited system.

Courtesy of a Zero Hedge reader, visual confirmation of how a substantial portion of these professional, paid protesters arrived at the site of the protest in Chicago has been spilled into the ether via social media.

As the photographer notes, “I have a video of 5 city blocks on the West side of Chicago lined with busses from Wisconsin (Badger Bus Lines) bringing in protestors. The Sears tower is visible in the background.”

The video was taken at 3:30pm on South Canal Street in Chicago on Saturday. As the piece points out, hundreds of the participants that took part in the downtown Chicago protests from November 12 were bused in using these vehicles. Others arrived by train.

They have no idea what the open borders will eventually mean for the simmering resentment it has created.

Some are discovering too that violent street protests in mobs are different from addressing real audiences, when bias media coverage is unavailbale to whitewash their uprising.

Wanda Sykes left the stage swearing on Saturday night after being booed for insulting Trump. Sykes made it through five minutes of her “comedy” gig at the 22nd annual Comics Come Home fundraising event in Boston, but dropped the ball when she uttered the tired claim that Trump is a racist bigot.

“After the election I was going around consoling people. I said, ‘Guys, look on the bright side. Look at this.’ I was telling everybody… ‘I am certain this is not the first time we’ve elected a racist, sexist, homophobic president,’” she said. But before Sykes could close her performance, the stadium erupted with thousands of angry boos.

Sykes then started insulting members of the audience, screaming: “F*** you, motherf****ers. F*** all y’all. F**** all y’all.” She gave the audience the middle finger as she walked off stage, as seen on Sunday’s cover of the Boston Herald.
