The Open Society Justice Initiative, founded by globalist George Soros, says the court decision “weakens the guarantee of equality” offered by EU non-discrimination laws.
“In many member states, national laws will still recognise that banning religious headscarves at work is discrimination,” said OSJI officer Maryam Hmadoun. “But in places where national law is weak, this ruling will exclude many Muslim women from the workplace.”
According to the EU ruling, corporate burka bans do not constitute direct discrimination, because companies are dependent on their customers’ demands.
“Basic things like being on time and a firm handshake, which might seem trivial, are quite important to some employers,” says Robert Barr, who runs jobs4refugees.org, explaining that the biggest challenges for migrant jobseekers are cultural.
The majority of Muslim migrants in Europe are excluded from the workplace as a matter of choice, in most cases their own. They often shun Western mores, and lack the language skills neccessary.
Prof Herbert Bruecker, of the Institut für Arbeitsmarkt und Berufsforschung (IAB) in Nuremberg, told the BBC that urgency should be directed towards providing migrants with vital skills, such as learning the language.
“The statistics from the German government’s Institute for Labour Research (IAB) reveal how only 3 percent of those who travelled to the country are now working,” the Daily Mail noted.
Of the 2 million migrants that arrived in Germany since 2015, only 34 000 are employed, according to a German government study. German economist Joachim Moeller, recently warned that “every euro not invested in integration and education” would in the end cost the country several times more, due to social costs and long-term unemployment.
“And in addition out of those who are employed, nearly a quarter are just on temporary contracts, with the numbers applying to migrants mostly from Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan and Eritrea,” the Mail noted.
“Hacked documents taken from the billionaire’s Open Society Foundation International Migration Initiative Thursday illustrate the extent to which the group has been working to make nations accept the current migrant crisis as the ‘new normal,’” reported Adan Salazar. The documents were obtained by DCLeaks.
Notable excerpts form the OSFI’s internal memo include several references to global governance, as this example shows: “The current climate presents new opportunities for reforming migration governance at the global level, whether through the existing multi-lateral system, or by bringing together a range of actors to think more innovatively.”
