The Russian leader made these bombshell remarks during a press conference in Helsinki, Finland, with his American counterpart, but the mainstream media ignored them.

Putin even extended a hand to US intelligence officials, saying his intelligence community would be more than happy to help their investigative efforts into the matter.

As BizPac Review reports, some $400 million in illegally earned profits was funneled to the Clinton campaign by associates of American-born British financier Bill Browder.  The scheme involved members of the US intelligence community who had “accompanied and guided these transactions,” Putin explained.

Browder was once the largest foreign portfolio investors in Russia. Moscow’s Tverskoy District Court found Browder guilty in absentia of large-scale tax evasion estimated at 522 million rubles and sentenced him to nine years in prison, while he was also found guilty in 2013 of tax evasion in a separate case.

In July 2014, Russia placed Browder on the Interpol’s most wanted list. The Russian Prosecutor General’s office has repeatedly requested Interpol to arrest Browder. Such a request was made again at the end of last year.

Putin said Browder earned over $1.5 billion in Russia but never paid any taxes on his earnings. According to the Russian president, the banker then moved the funds to the US where he paid out $400 million to the Clinton campaign.

“Business associates of Mr. Browder have earned over $1.5 billion in Russia and never paid any taxes neither in Russia or the United States and yet the money escaped the country.

“They were transferred to the United States. They sent [a] huge amount of money, $400 million as a contribution to the campaign of Hillary Clinton,” Putin said.

He added: “It might have been legal, the contribution itself, but the way the money was earned was illegal.” Putin also said that he would welcome US officials to Russia to probe alleged Russia-Trump collusion.

The latest revelations by the Russian President called Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s bluff on the indictment of 12 Russian officials.

In return for the indictment, Russia wants to be allowed to question US intelligence officers for their alleged role in helping the transfer of Browder’s funds.

“We would expect that the Americans would reciprocate, and they would question officials, including officers of law enforcement and the intelligence services of the United States whom we believe have something to do with illegal actions on the territory of Russia,” Putin said in response to the indictment.

“We have grounds to suspect that US intelligence officers supported these illegal transactions,” Putin added. “So we have an interest of questioning them.”

Scott Bennett, a former US Army officer and counterterrorism analyst, told Sputnik News: “I think President Putin did a wonderful job by exposing the fact that $400 million was stolen from Russia by Browder and the Hermitage Capital group that he ran and gave to Hillary Clinton’s campaign; that’s criminal, it’s campaign finance illegalities, and that needs to be prosecuted and it was wonderful that President Putin brought that to the attention of the American people.”

Browder is a British citizen. “We see the British were up to their neck in this with the GCHQ secret memos that describe on August 28, 2016, President Obama requesting that President Trump’s Trump Tower be surveyed and be listened to and be observed for intelligence violations, that’s in the British memo, and it’s very powerful because it shows President Obama was lying,” Bennett said.

He said the British continued surveillance on Trump on August 28, 2016, and therefore attorney Rod Rosenstein‘s indictment of 12 Russians “is absolutely false, it’s fake, it’s probably going to fall apart, as the other cases have”.

Meanwhile, Alexander Kurennoi, a spokesperson for Russia’s prosecutor general, told reporters that Putin stood by his demand that the United States should make Browder, and a number of former American diplomats and intelligence officers described as his accomplices in a criminal plot, available for questioning. The prosecutor’s spokesperson called it “Browder’s criminal group”.

White House press secretary, Sarah Huckabee Sanders, on Wednesday confirmed that Putin had directly requested the Trump’s help in interrogating former American officials, including Michael McFaul, the United States Ambassador to Russia during the Obama administration.

Trump has not ruled out having former Obama officials questioned by Russia. It should come as no surprise that Trump would consider Putin’s request to subject Hillary supporters to interrogation to counter the “deep state” plot to remove him from office.

“There is a secret government that likes to control things and most people know what we talk about when we talk about the ‘deep state’. And they do have a lot of clout, they are very much involved in the media and the leadership of both parties, so both parties and the media are very, very, annoyed with Trump [being so] independent,” said former Congressman Ron Paul.

Paul called out the media and certain politicians who had become “completely unhinged” over Trump’s attempts to ensure peace.

According to Newstarget, Putin may not only possess damning information that could eventually lead to the indictment of Hillary Clinton, he may have already given this information to Trump.
