UK misses critical containment window
Britain has missed the critical containment window to implement policies that would slow down the spread of SARS-CoV-2, suggesting the country could see an exponential rise over the next month.
LondonThe Guardian interviewed a senior consultant at a top hospital in the UK, who warned hospital beds are already 98 percent occupied, and patients who need ICU-level treatment will not be able to receive it.
The senior consultant said no hospital has enough N-95 masks or goggles, and the entire National Health Service (NHS) healthcare system is understaffed to handle a virus outbreak.
Defense sources told The Sun that tented field hospitals would have to be erected and public buildings sanitized for use during such a virus outbreak.
