Vast majority of Germans trust Merkel to deal with Corona crisis
The vast majority of Germans believe that measures to combat the spread of Covid-19 are appropriate.
According to a poll by the opinion polling institute Infratest-Dimap for the ARD Germany, 95 percent of those questioned support that in the next two weeks, they will only be allowed to meet in their own home community or with another person. Only three percent reject this measure.
The Germans also seem to agree with how the German government is responding to the crisis. Some 75 percent of those questioned are satisfied with the actions of the Chancellor and her ministers. Only five percent are unsatisfied and 18 percent less satisfied.
The majority of citizens also trust the German healthcare system, as 75 percent believe that hospitals and doctors can cope with the epidemic.
Previously, a survey by the Insa polling institute had concluded that the Merkel administration could regain lost trust.
