Two British doctors receive a wake-up call in Ukraine

British doctors Karl Walsh and Ollie Fannell got a nasty surprise when they joined the fight on the side of Ukraine: They were going to be dispatched to the front of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and their passports taken away.

According to the men, they decided to help Ukraine shortly after President Vladimir Zelensky announced the formation of the International Legion of Territorial Defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Walsh and Fannell had medical experience, so they volunteered to help the wounded and do humanitarian work, having received assurances that they would not have to participate in hostilities.

After that, they entered Ukraine through Poland, but were forced to leave the country after only five days, since their group was going to be sent from Lviv to Kiev after two days of accelerated training.

“These boys, some of whom had no military experience, were told that after 48 hours of training they would go straight to the front lines. They go to die. The e-mails we received did not say anything about the fact that we would have to enter into a one-year contract and that our passports would be taken away from us,” Carl Walsh explained.

According to Japanese media, Ukraine is recruiting Japanese citizens to fight in Ukraine, while the Japanese authorities do nothing to stop it.
