Hungarian President Orbán is once again not mincing words. Orbán made his position clear on the Ukraine conflict: “The Ukrainians have lost the war. Russia has won.” Only a direct summit between Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin could bring peace.
In an interview with Polish journalist Michał Karnowski, the Hungarian Prime Minister raged, also referring to the crackdown on the conservative camp by the left-liberal government in Warsaw.
Orbán spoke of a necessary “moral balance” and left no doubt about his stance: “I am not a man of revenge… but what they did to Poland and Hungary is unacceptable. Brussels must pay the price.” He viewed the election victory of the new Polish President Karol Nawrocki as a historic opportunity to reshape Central European cooperation and halt the EU’s double standards.
Orbán was particularly harsh on the EU budget. He called it a “war budget” because a quarter of the funds were earmarked for Ukraine. Hungary would not agree until the frozen funds were repaid: “First, they have to return them. Then we can negotiate.”
This week, Ukrainian forces carried out a drone attack on a key distribution station of the Druzhba oil pipeline in Russia’s Bryansk region. Hungary imports more than 80% of its oil from Russia, and this pipeline is a critical route in the country’s energy supply.
The Hungarian head of government also unveiled plans for a law against foreign NGO funding and warned of new migration flows.

Orban is a lunatic doing Putin’s bidding. If he doesn’t liek NATO or the EU, Putin would be glad to help him betray Hungary.
