Scary Case Study: The British Climate Organization ECIU

In this unique case study, we conduct an in-depth analysis of the hidden actors who are driving the grossly societally disruptive climate measures that globalists are imposing and agenda-driven politicians are imposing on the people – often against the will of the vast majority.

It involves thousands of different organizations that are part of a gigantic, worldwide network that has today largely taken over the previous roles of governments and authorities, both in terms of policy-making and detailed governance of societies, and thus our lives. These are controlled by a few globalist governing organizations and key individuals, who sit in several chairs. A frightening picture emerges of seemingly unlimited resources and influence over governments and the media. Combined with politicians, who no longer represent the people more than on paper, this gives the globalists’ hidden network almost total power over decision-making processes and society at large.

We take a closer look at, among other things, at the British climate alarmist organization Energy and Climate Intelligence Unit. The ECIU is a good example of something that the public is not aware of – that the globalists have created thousands of organizations that are all interconnected and pursue the same agenda, whether it is the climate narrative and Net Zero or pushing for mass immigration/integration and more tax billions for the mass killing in Ukraine.

In this review text, we delve into these globalist-controlled and often hidden actors to give our readers an insight into this publicly unknown and highly influential network that largely shapes our society and thus our lives.

Gigantic and Hidden

This worldwide and secretive network of which ECIU is a part, is in turn interconnected in countless places with similar actors – via everything from individuals and partnerships to projects and umbrella organizations – such as various globalist foundations, international organizations, multinational companies, governments, authorities, universities and system media. A key player here is the so-called NGOs, which is an abbreviation for Non-Governmental Organization, a private organization.

It can be seen as a gigantic machine, which behind the scenes drives the media and governments and shapes and drives public opinion in the direction the globalists want. These NGOs call themselves non-profit and independent, but are neither. The people at the top are often highly paid, as these “non-profit” organizations are given large amounts of tax money from various Western countries and donations from “philanthropists”, who are almost always globalist billionaires and their foundations. The gigantic amounts that are brought in via various authorities and these tax-exempt foundations keep this globalist machine running and ensure the loyalty of all participants to the mandated narrative and agenda.

A worrying trend is also that not only are former politicians being hired with high salaries, as a thank you for pushing through various globalist agendas during their time in power, but more and more active politicians and journalists are being recruited. There is already no dividing line between these thousands of foundations and political and media power. Everything is interconnected where only the few anonymous people at the top see and control the whole, because they set the agenda and control the few “governing organizations” – such as the infamous Bilderberg Group and the World Economic Forum (WEF) – at the top of the pyramid.

Like a School of Fish

There are so many organizations in this network because there seem to be endless financial resources and almost every chairman, CEO, board member and, where applicable, middle manager then in turn founds their own organizations. Key people within the network can therefore sit in several organizations at the same time in different roles, which we will exemplify below. This makes it very difficult to see how they are connected or get their money, even if they comply with applicable legislation and report their donors and the amounts they contribute.

This is because the money flows through several levels and in different directions in the form of donations, compensation, individual projects in collaboration with other organizations and so on. We can also assume that the interest of governments and authorities as well as the mainstream media to scrutinize them is almost non-existent, since politicians and journalists are largely part of these networks and often also in leading lucrative roles.

This globalist-controlled network can be likened to a gigantic school of fish under the surface of the water. Only those who “dive” into this NGO world see the network and how it affects the political and social “ecosystem”, but even for an observer it is almost impossible to see what each one does and their exact “position”, as everyone is very similar in appearance, goals, visions, choice of words and choice of images and even graphic design.

Neither Non-Profit nor Independent

A good example is the ECIU. It claims to be “a non-profit organisation supporting informed debate on energy and climate change issues in the UK”, but it is not non-profit in the true sense of the word. Nor does it conduct “independent research and analysis”, as it claims. Research and analysis conducted with the aim of arriving at often pre-determined results in order to market a prescribed narrative or push a pre-determined agenda, is anything but independent or even research, in the true sense of the word.

We can also question the honesty of “informed debate”, since any “information” that does not align with their climate narrative and agenda is “dangerous disinformation” that must be combated and stopped for the “common good”.

The climate organization ECIU was founded by the notorious climate alarmist Richard Black, formerly the leading “environmental journalist” at the British system media BBC. He pushed the climate agenda hard while giving a platform to the hidden network ECIU is part of. Today, the BBC gives him and thus the ECIU a platform.

The ECIU “gives advice” to authorities, which in turn sponsor them with tax money directly or through several levels and intermediaries in the background. Anyone who is paid by someone else can hardly be seen as independent, since the money is given to ensure that the activity is run and achieves goals in a way that makes the donor want to continue paying for it.

Money Guarantees Influence

The ECIU states that “all our funding comes from philanthropic foundations and donors.” It then writes that “we are grateful for support from the European Climate Foundation and the Meliore Foundation.”

The European Climate Foundation, one of the two main sponsors of the ECIU, provides more than 1,600 grants to over 700 climate organizations. The ECF’s slogan is “Empowering people across society to create a Net-Zero world”. It is just like “empowering” (read: forcing) people to have a digital vaccine passport (We can read on the ECF’s website: ‘We are a large philanthropic initiative working with 700+ partners to catalyze climate action and build a better future. The “philanthropic initiative” European Climate Foundation (ECF), as they call themselves, functions as both an umbrella organization and a donor to the over 700(!) member organizations that are described as “partners”. ECF receives its money from, among others, the Atlantic Council, which has been a driving force in the incitement against Russia and for the war in Ukraine. The Atlantic Council is a geopolitically powerful organization where the largest donors are various British and American departments (tax money), the globalist foundation The Rockefeller Foundation, the investment bank Goldman Sachs and the IT giant Meta/Facebook.

As always, the same major contributors are in the background, not least the Rockefeller Foundation and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, something we have discovered in previous reviews on the subject. These often provide the largest contributions, directly or via intermediaries, to everything from the World Health Organization WHO to these climate networks and thus also have the greatest influence.

Whoever pays decides, they say, and that is exactly what it is. The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation has for many years – as an individual actor – been the largest or second largest contributor to the WHO. The WHO, despite its name and mission, is very much a driving force in the climate agenda. Not only do they link health with climate, but they want a “climate emergency” to give them almost unlimited powers as a supranational globalist-controlled actor.

The Goal Is ‘Zero Carbon’

The Meliore Foundation also receives its money from, among others, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and presents itself as follows: “Meliore Foundation is a leading philanthropic organization focused on funding global strategic communications.”

The Globalist Foundation describes its activities and goals as follows: “Our goal is simple. We want to help create real and lasting change in the world. We collaborate with global philanthropic funding partners to support programs that educate and encourage fact-based discourse at societal, commercial, and political levels.”

It is led by Tom Brookes, who in turn founded the Global Strategic Communication Council (GSCC), and so on. It may be worth pointing out here that these are not small organizations, even though the same key people are involved. GSCC describes themselves as follows: “GSCC, founded in 2012, is a collaborative network of people working in a number of different organizations operating on six continents and covering themes such as climate science and climate impacts, food and nature, finance and economics, energy, transport, industry and multilateral climate processes.”

It is thus no small undertaking or small ambition, and their stated goals are essentially identical to those of all the others, with “changing the world” and “a transition to zero carbon” (sometimes called “Net Zero”) always being among the primary goals. Critics tend to point out with some concern that they use the word carbon – the building block of all life, including us humans – and not the word carbon dioxide, the alleged threat to our planet.

Key figure Tom Brookes is CEO of both the Meliore Foundation and the Global Strategic Communication Council (GSCC), where he founded the latter. GSCC acts as “communication experts” within the global climate network. He has also been active at ECF for 15 years, where he was, among other things, on the management team. He began his career as a systems journalist before becoming a spokesman for Microsoft and later “director of government affairs” at Apple in Europe. Brookes thus has a great deal of influence and represents what can be described as “key figures” within this network, as he has a foothold in the media, multinational companies, governments and, not least, controls the flow of information and has gigantic sums at his disposal to distribute within the “Network”. ‘Global Societies’

The “communication experts” GSCC, as they describe themselves, also want to control the debate and thus public opinion, just like the other “climate organizations”: “Our philanthropically funded work aims to inform and strengthen media debate and public discourse at the global level and in major economies around the world on issues related to the climate crisis.”

GSCC also reveals that it has a stable of politicians, regardless of what political orientation they represent outwardly, who run its affairs: “We provide the media with useful background information and a wide range of interesting spokespersons from across the political spectrum.”

ECIU’s “informed debate” is called “fact-based discourse” at the Meliore Foundation and “informing and strengthening public discourse” at GSCC. Similar wording is found in hundreds of other of these organizations. But what constitutes “facts” and “information” is determined by all the fact-checkers who are part of the network within which they control funding – and who are often also tied to various system media. Anything that contradicts their narrative is described as “false”, “unscientific” and “disinformation”.

We can also note how words like nations and countries have long since been phased out of their vocabulary, which usually precedes what is then used in system media and ultimately by governments. Nations are today referred to within the network instead as “global communities”.

‘Equality’ and ‘Justice’

We can also read the Meliore Foundation’s version of the recurring goal of breaking norms and barriers: “Our global societies face great challenges. Yet every threat is also an opportunity to create a brighter future. With innovation, connection and insight, we break down barriers and prove that positive outcomes can be achieved, differently and better.”

Finally, we can read how the globalist foundation, which is sponsored by other globalist foundations, combats all information and opinions that go against theirs, so that they can achieve their goals that their globalist patrons and funders have decided are best for everyone: “We are here to expose misinformation and clarify things as we inform the public and bring people together to achieve the greater good.”

Their vision is, not unexpectedly, to create a new, more inclusive and just society, which are just fancy terms for de facto discrimination against white people in general and white men in particular, since it is everyone else who must be “included” to achieve the globalists’ version of “justice and equality”: “Meliore Foundation strives to bring fair, inclusive and equitable solutions to global issues to the core of the world’s political, social, environmental and economic discourse.”

Critics often describe it as “a marriage made in hell”, between Marxist woke culture and the globalist agenda, where the climate narrative is central.

Outright Lies Marketed as ‘Information’

ECIU publishes a wealth of information and texts, with this one from October 11th entitled “Climate Impact in Focus: Spain, France and Italy” and the subtitle “How does extreme weather in Europe affect holidaymakers, food shortages and human health?”

ECIU has recently released a report stating that British farmers have lost over the equivalent of 8.2 billion Swedish kronor as 15 percent of their crops have been destroyed by “climate change”… in the form of extreme and record-breaking rain and cold . Yet in the article we can read that Europe’s average temperature has increased twice as fast as the rest of the world. A trick that is applied in almost every region, country and continent – all of which have increased X times more than all others. This is of course a physical and mathematical impossibility, but just like so and so many “dead with covid” or “50 percent of all unvaccinated people die”, the public is deceived by made-up and seemingly frightening figures, which is also the goal (we draw the reader’s attention to this in the mainstream media).

Climate in focus and travel in the crosshairs. In the current text we can read: “Travel is another way in which British residents are affected by climate change, with up to 86 million Britons going abroad by 2023. The three biggest holiday destinations – Spain, France and Italy – are also countries from which we import a lot of food.” These food imports are said to be threatened by “extreme heat”, despite Europe having seen unusual cold, record rainfall and repeated devastating floods in the past year – not least for agriculture (see our many articles and analyses on the subject). We can read in the ECIU article that it is also heat that threatens British tourists, who are strongly advised against going on holiday to Spain, France and Italy. We can then read that “all three [holiday destinations] have been hit by extreme heat in recent years”. On the one hand, their travel exacerbates global warming, and on the other hand, it is dangerous for them to travel: “Britons travelling there on holiday must be increasingly careful about looking after their health as temperatures reach new peaks, dangerous to human health.”

It is safer to stay at home. Not a word is mentioned that it is floods that have killed British citizens on the continent and that large hail has damaged the vehicles of British tourists. The latter has become very extensive in recent years, but is hidden by the establishment and its media. An example is when “hail the size of tennis balls” in July 2023 destroyed 800 Nordic tourists’ vehicles in a single hailstorm in Italy.

Winemakers are devastated by how record rainfall since autumn 2023 has destroyed their harvests. “This was the worst year,” French winemaker David Lavantureux tells Euronews. According to the ECIU’s science-like text, it is also primarily the heat that is destroying food production and threatening food security, thus in direct contradiction to British measurement data that has shown abnormal cold and record amounts of rain since the fall of 2023. The text even takes up wine production in France as an example, despite the fact that it is precisely the one that has been hit hardest by record wetness and cold in countries like the United Kingdom and France.

NATO’s Role in the Network

The key figure, Jens Stoltenberg, was the Prime Minister of Norway from 2000 to 2001 and from 2005 to 2013. He was appointed NATO Secretary General in March 2014, shortly after the NATO- and Western-led coup in Ukraine the previous month, formally took up the role on 1 October 2014 and resigned after an extended mandate on 1 October this year. A week later, on 8 October, it was announced that Stoltenberg would be the next chairman of the Munich Security Conference and that he would take up his role in February 2025. More importantly, and in almost total media shadow, he was appointed co-chair of the hidden and powerful Bilderberg Group in November this year, one of the globalist network’s most important governing organizations, alongside the World Economic Forum (see background in the picture).

NATO is in practice the military branch of the globalist network, which explains their driving but hidden role during Covid (see “Dutch Minister: The Covid pandemic was a ‘military operation’ – ‘The Ministry of Health obeys NATO’” in NyT no.20/2024).

Revealing Words from ECIU Board Member

Lord Turner of Ecchinswell sits on the board of ECIU. He was previously chairman of the UK Pensions Commission and the Climate Change Committee and has chaired the UK business organisation Confederation of British Industry and the FSA, which regulated the financial sector. The Baron describes himself as a technocrat (interview BBC HARDtalk).

Turner advocates “helicopter money”, where central banks print and give large sums of money to governments, something that gives the often private central banks and their owners great power while accelerating inflation (the plundering of the people).

In the foreword to the book Smaller Families and Ageing Populations – Silver linings not silver burdens – A Population Matters White Paper, Turner reveals his thoughts. The Baron writes that children born in 1900 in the West “would be lucky if they lived to see their 50th birthday”, but “many born today can be expected to live a century”. This threatens the planet, he argues, despite the fact that feminism has radically reduced the birth rate. The solution is more power to women and “population stabilization or mild decline”.

Aging populations and smaller families in the West do not threaten welfare, on the contrary, raising the retirement age and “automation” solve it. Turner explains that fewer people put “less strain on nature, solve the housing issue and make it easier to achieve net zero (carbon) while at the same time increasing growth and prosperity in developing countries”.

Revealing Book

The Future of Energy is a book written by Richard Black that was published in August 2024. It is presented as follows:

Coal, oil and gas provide four-fifths of the energy that powers our modern world. But continuing to burn them will mean destroying the only planet we have. Is there a way out?

It is revealing as it shows the mindset and goals of climate alarmists, often between the lines. On pages 25–26 we can read the following:

Volume production lowers the unit cost. Lower cost means more demand. More people buying the planes increases the volume of production. The price falls further. People buy even more. More demand, more production, lower prices, more demand, more production . . . this cycle repeats itself, driving the growth of aircraft ownership. Sales increase exponentially as prices fall.

The fact that more people have access to flights at a lower price is seen as a threat. Flights and “unnecessary” long-distance tourism are high on the red list of all climate alarmists, along with fossil-fueled vehicles, beef and dairy products. Black then points out that this reasoning can be applied to all goods and emphasizes that it is not a theory, but supported by countless analyses and reports that have looked at everything from cars to dishwashers.

Black now lives in Berlin and is director of policy and strategy at Ember, a global think tank that advocates for “A clean, electrified energy system for all.”

The solution for those who want to change the world is therefore to raise the prices of everything to reduce production, which is precisely the development we have seen in recent years. However, increased energy prices and thus reduced energy consumption are directly inversely proportional to growth and welfare. The less energy a society or an individual consumes, the worse welfare it corresponds to. Forced energy shortages and rampant inflation, which take away ordinary people’s purchasing power, guarantee to break the cycle of growth with increased production, sales and living standards that we have seen since the end of the Second World War.

This trend reversal actually started with the Covid lockdowns of 2020, when Klaus Schwab and his globalist foundation the World Economic Forum (WEF) launched the start of The Great Reset. Seen from this perspective, the proclaimed Covid pandemic acted as an emergency brake, as the world economy and growth never recovered. On the contrary, we see an ever-increasing runaway inflation followed by a sharp decline in growth and living standards, while the few ultra-rich are increasingly appropriating assets at the same accelerated pace. The globalists created the crisis and are now plundering us.

A 1/3 Part Noble and 1/17 Minority

Like all the others, ECIU emphasises the importance of diversity and sustainability and therefore highlights partners such as the organisation Diverse Sustainability Initiative and the recruitment company Inclusive Recruiting, which help ECIU recruit new staff with a focus on “diversity and inclusion”. However, if we look at their Advisory Board, which they claim “reflects the breadth of different interests in the UK”, the picture is completely different.

It consists of 17 members, all of whom are white, except for the British-Bangladeshi MP and Minister for Homelessness and Democracy Rushanara Ali. Of the remaining 16 board members, five are peerages, four lords and one dame, which is quite remarkable. The ECIU advisory board is therefore 31 per cent white peerages and just under 6 per cent non-white. Among the others are four professors, two doctors of philosophy, a rear admiral and the British-Jewish journalist Robin Lustig, who has worked for several mainstream media outlets and today makes documentaries for the BBC, The Guardian and several major British mainstream media outlets.

The Diverse Sustainability Initiative (DSI) is an organisation that works for “increased diversity in the sustainability profession” and is seen as an important partner of the ECIU. The aim is stated to be “to reflect modern Britain” by getting minorities involved in the environmental and sustainability profession and the wider NGO movement (the globalist network). DSI wants to solve the problem that “‘environmental workers’ are one of the least racially diverse professions in the UK”, which is said to be due to the fact that there are so few highly educated minority people in relevant fields.

Looking at the ECIU “Team” led by CEO Peter Chalkley, which also includes founder Richard Black, the picture becomes even stranger for a climate NGO that claims to hire with a focus on “diversity” and “inclusion.” The team consists of 19 people, all of whom , including the two younger interns, are white with English surnames.

We can see that they do not live as they preach and can assume that this also applies to other things, such as the society-changing climate change they are pushing for. The climate alarmists have repeatedly made themselves infamous for their hypocrisy, how they do not live as they preach and demand that others do, when, among other things, they drive cars and fly many times more than the average person.

It is telling that the ECIU – with an advisory board that is a cross-section of the British “elite”, where all hold high positions in society – are the ones who are pushing so hard for the demands for diversity, inclusion, equality and, not least, that the world must be completely remade for the “good of all”.
