The Home Office in London revoked her electronic visa this month. An official explained the move to the US political magazine Politico with the terse statement that her presence was not considered “in the public interest”.
Vlaardingerbroek, formerly a member of the “Forum for Democracy” party, suspects the harsh criticism she had recently leveled at the left-wing British Prime Minister Keir Starmer has contributed to the ban. She accused his government of wanting to censor “misogynistic” content on X while simultaneously standing idly by as “migrant gangs rape British girls.” She described Starmer as “an evil and despicable man.”
The activist, who became known through appearances in American media and her conversation with Tucker Carlson, among other things, recently participated in an event in London. Vlaardingerbroek spoke there on topics such as repatriation and the “Great Replacement” in Europe.
London’s visa refusal comes at a politically sensitive time. The US government under Donald Trump is increasing pressure on European states for allegedly using disproportionate measures to persecute immigration and government critics and for over-regulating social media. The Vlaardingerbroek case is likely to play into Washington’s hands.
