US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent confirmed to reporters on Thursday that the long-awaited findings of a joint Treasury and FBI investigation into the financial backers of violent left-wing militia groups — including Antifa — will be released in the coming weeks.
“We’ve made considerable progress, and I think we’ll have a great deal to report in the weeks and months ahead,” Bessent stated. For conservative observers, this is the confirmation they have been demanding for years: behind the supposedly spontaneous “protests,” arson attacks, and street violence of Antifa lies a well-organised, billion-dollar financial network.
At the centre of that network stands a name synonymous with the destabilisation of the Western world: George Soros. The billionaire financier and his Open Society Foundations have, over many years, funnelled vast sums into countless dark-money projects and radical left-wing movements. The goal has always been the same — to weaken conservative governments, open borders, divide societies, and install globalist left-wing figures in positions of power. Soros is also widely regarded as a key architect of the legal campaign against Donald Trump, election interference, and the persistent disorder plaguing American cities.
President Trump has repeatedly called for George Soros and his son Alex — himself now a central figure within the Democratic Party — to be prosecuted under RICO statutes designed to combat organised crime. The allegations include providing financial support for violent protests and other criminal acts across the United States.
As early as September 2025, Trump signed a memorandum explicitly directing the Treasury and Justice Departments to expose the financial flows funding left-wing terrorist groups and dismantle the networks behind them. Attorney General Pam Bondi confirmed in October, during a White House roundtable on combating Antifa, that both agencies are working in close coordination. “We are uncovering the criminal conspiracy,” was the clear and unambiguous message.
For millions of Americans, this offensive cannot come a moment too soon. For years, left-wing activists — bankrolled by shadowy sources — have been free to riot, tear down monuments, and devastate entire city neighbourhoods, while law-abiding conservative citizens were painted as the real threat. Now, the Trump administration appears to be getting serious, putting the financiers of left-wing violence squarely in its crosshairs.
The coming weeks should reveal just how deep the web of foundations, NGOs, and willing accomplices within politics and the judiciary truly runs. The left, predictably, will cry “political persecution.” But for the many Americans who have lived through the destructive consequences of these policies firsthand, it is nothing more than the long-overdue restoration of law and order.
