While mainstream media continues to obsess over sexual accusations against Donald Trump, a Google Trends graph shows readers are bored by them.
Internet users are intrigued by the WikiLeaks releases and media bias.
Allegations about Donald Trump that have received wide coverage by the mainstream media, have voters questioning the motives of the accusers and the timing of the revelations.
Trump’s supporters mostly dismissed a series of reports about his misbehavior toward women.
The graph, moreover rather points to an agenda by the media to smear Trump, even if it means sacrificing their own audiences. WikiLeaks commented on the trend, tweeting, “US mainstream media are completely out of sync with audience demand.”
The Google Trends graph illustrates how, even on the day the infamous tape’s release, Google searches for the whistleblower organization were still significantly higher.
WikiLeaks has been releasing emails from the John Podesta hack on a daily basis and on every single day, and Google searches for Wikileaks overtook all searches on new allegations made against Trump.
New emails released as part of the Podesta hack show yet more collusion between the Clinton campaign and the New York Times.
One journalist in particular Maggie Haberman was shamelessly tasked to produce stories for Team Hillary. In an email sent by Hillary’s Traveling Press Secretary Nick Merrill, he explains how Haberman, a writer for Politico and the New York Times writing flattering stories about Hillary, could be put to good use.
“We have has a very good relationship with Maggie Haberman of Politico over the last year. We have had her tee up stories for us before and have never been disappointed. While we should have a larger conversation in the near future about a broader strategy for reengaging the beat press that covers HRC, for this we think we can achieve our objective and do the most shaping by going to Maggie,” states the email.
