The military announced it had taken full control of the Jabal Badro and Baadeen districts on Sunday, a day after capturing Masaken Hanano, another residential district from militants.
Air strikes targeting opposition pockets are continuing with fighting moving into Haidariya and Sakhour.
The Lebanese Al-Manar TV channel reported from Aleppo on Sunday morning, showing workers and soldiers clearing debris.
The Syrian Army conducted a large-scale clearance operation in the Masaken Hanano district, where terrorists from Al-Nusra Front and other radical groups mined buildings and roads to prevent civilians from fleeing the area through humanitarian corridors established by government forces.
Government forces have pushed into the Sakhour neighbourhood, to within 500m of creating a corridor through the rebel-held territory, the BBC reported. The aim is to divide the rebel-held east of the city in two.
Reuters news agency says government troops have taken the district of Holok.
Meanwhile, Kurdish-led forces have reportedly taken the Bustan al-Basha neighbourhood, allowing some 2 500 civilians to exit to the north, according to the BBC.
The Syrian army said it had helped 1 500 people to flee to government-controlled western parts, while Russian news agencies said some 900 civilians – including 119 children – had left Jabal Badro alone before the troops moved in.
On Saturday, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that three aid deliveries to Aleppo residents were carried out in the course of a day, ranging from one to two tons.
