Former US Tea Party politician Ron Paul has smashed allegations about Russians hacking the US election in an interview with RT’s Neil Harvey and says Americans rather ought to be made aware that the CIA is involved in “domestic assassinations”.
Paul said the Democrats were sore losers. “I think they’re just agitating, because they lost the election. They’re throwing out accusations and they have no proof,” the former Republican congressman for Texas remarked.
“The same people who are making all these charges, they didn’t seem to be worried a bit by the secretary of state having a private server,” Paul said. He explained that the use of a private server makes it much easier for foreign powers to snoop.
Paul, an advocate non-intervention, says Americans should rather worry about what the US government is doing in other countries. “The American people should be worried about the influence of our CIA in other people’s elections, I mean probably hundreds. It’s constant,” he said.
The libertarian politician said influential players and the mainstream media is promoting an anti-Russian narrative in order to “amplify the arguments between Republicans and Democrats,” which he discounted as political theater.
“The [anti-Russian] propagandists are on the side of the people who want us to be intervening around the world, and I imagine that because Trump has suggested maybe we ought to do a little bit less of that, maybe they don’t like that idea, and they want to discredit him for that approach,” Paul said.
Vanessa Beeley, one of the rare journalists in Syria, talked to Paul this week about the crimes committed by militants in Aleppo.
She has exposed that Syria’s so-called White Helmets, lauded in the West as a group of volunteer first-responders, funded by the US, Britain and others to the tune of $100 million and nominated for the 2016 Nobel Peace Prize, are nothing but terrorists.
She has accused the White Helmets of stealing ambulances and fire engines, and even killing Syria’s real Civil Defence officials.
