The 35-year-old Congresswoman from Hawaii, Tulsi Gabbard was raised in a politically powerful household.
Hawaii was Donald Trump’s single worst state where het got only 29 percent of the vote, and it’s by far the country’s most racially diverse, with whites making up about only one-quarter of the population, according to NBC.
Gabbard is “under serious consideration” for various Cabinet positions in President-elect Donald Trump’s administration, according to a senior official on the transition team.
The official told ABC News the congresswoman is being considered as a candidate for secretary of state, secretary of defense or United Nations ambassador. If selected, Gabbard will be the first woman as well as the youngest pick for Trump’s Cabinet.
Gabbard, a member of the House Armed Services Committee, also said she and Trump discussed legislation that she is pushing that would end what she described as “our country’s illegal war to overthrow the Syrian government”.
Elected in 2012, she is the first American Samoan and the first Hindu member of the United States Congress, but some Democrats call her a “Hindu-supremacist”. She identifies as a member of the Gaudiya Vaishnavism Sect of the Hindu faith.
It’s a faith she shares with India’s leader, Narendra Modi and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), well known in India for hardline right wing politics. Modi was the governor of the state of Gujarat during riots in 2002 that killed over 2 000 Muslims.
Her father, Mike Gabbard, is a well-known firebrand in Hawaiian politics, rejecting homosexuality and gay rights.
Gabbard served in Iraq in 2004, and opposes US intervention in the Middle East, condemning interventionist wars in Iraq and Libya and taking a hard line on immigration.
In 2014, she called for a rollback of the visa waiver programme for Britain and other European countries with what she called “Islamic extremist” populations.
Gabbard said about her meeting with Trump, “the cause of peace is too great for us to allow political disagreements or partisanship to stand in our way”.
She has released a long statement, saying he asked to meet with her about “our current policies regarding Syria, our fight against terrorist groups like al-Qaeda and ISIS, as well as other foreign policy challenges we face.”
I felt it important to take the opportunity to meet with the president-elect now before the drumbeats of war that neocons have been beating drag us into an escalation of the war to overthrow the Syrian government — a war which has already cost hundreds of thousands of lives and forced millions of refugees to flee their homes in search of safety for themselves and their families.
She added that she would not let politics get in the way of meeting with the president-elect.
“I shared with him my grave concerns that escalating the war in Syria by implementing a so-called no fly/safe zone would be disastrous for the Syrian people, our country and the world,” she said. “It would lead to more death and suffering, exacerbate the refugee crisis, strengthen ISIS and al-Qaeda and bring us into a direct conflict with Russia, which could result in a nuclear war. We discussed my bill to end our country’s illegal war to overthrow the Syrian government and the need to focus our precious resources on rebuilding our own country and on defeating al-Qaeda, ISIS and other terrorist groups who pose a threat to the American people.”
Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton called for a no-fly zone over parts of Syria during the campaign. Other than that, Gabbard opposes TPP and NAFTA, has supported GOP bills restricting immigration.
The group of anti-white Democrats will now be forced to admit that the real reason they’re angry about Trump’s election, is not that he’s discriminating against them, or because he’s a “racist”, but because they think the white majority should have no say in American politics whatsoever.
Therefore the radical left supported the “Free Syrian Army” and Al Qaeda against Assad when the Syrian conflict started. They also backed the Libyan terrorists, which turned out to be a disaster for them.
Kellyanne Conway, a Trump senior adviser and his campaign manager, took some time on Monday to laud the fledgling rebellion in Democratic ranks against the ultra-left, the New York Times remarked, as the American bourgeois hipsters in the West seem to have moved their support to the Kurdish Peshmerga because they have a novel all-female battalion.
By arming and logistically supporting the Kurds, the Obama administration’s new darlings are likely to cause problems for the Syrians after the jihadists find themselves in a tight spot as a result of the advances of Iranian and Russian forces.
If Gabbard pulls the plug on these adventures, it could finally end the bloodshed in the Middle East.
