Facebook has clearly revealed its political bias. After having decided to set up a Supervisory Board, the social network had already announced that the members of this body would be of diverse origins and opinions. Sadly, they are quite the opposite.
In early May, the company released the first 20 names. And according to the American media outlet The National Pulse, the profiles of its members are alarming.
The idea for the board itself came Harvard law professor Noah Feldman, who in 2018 insisted the West “needs Shariah and Islam”.
On the one hand, a large majority of these 20 names (95 percent, according to The National Pulse), are hostile to President Donald Trump. Some have even compared him to Adolf Hitler, while others would have considered removing him from Twitter as an “awesome” move.
The National Pulse, looking at the profiles of members of the Supervisory Board, reported that many are affiliated with the American billionaire George Soros, reputed to want to “establish a world defined not by sovereign states, but by a global community,” according to The Guardian.
The media outlet also added that three quarters of the members of the supervisory board are non-American citizens. The members are also, for the most part, of the left, and linked, in particular, to the defense of the rights of LGBT people. Twelve of the 20 are non-white.
Former Obama campaign and administration staffer Jeffrey Gelman – now a communications manager for Facebook – refused to answer the questions from the media.
