COP21: Symbolic because it lacks enforcement mechanisms

The Paris climate accord is a largely symbolic gesture because it lacks enforcement mechanisms. Even if it had been successful, it would have had a statistically insignificant impact on the climate, many scientists say and according to the UN's own calculations.

As Reuters tweeted, US carbon emissions will fall over the next decade — regardless of whether America remains in the COP21 treaty.

Freeman Dyson, physicist and mathematician, professor emeritus at Princeton’s Institute for Advanced Study, Fellow of the Royal Society, winner of the Lorentz Medal, the Max Planck Medal, the Fermi Award told The Register, October 11, 2015: “What has happened in the past 10 years is that the discrepancies [in climate change models] between what’s observed and what’s predicted have become much stronger. It’s clear now the [climate change] models are wrong, but it wasn’t so clear 10 years ago… I’m 100 per cent Democrat myself, and I like Obama. But he took the wrong side on this [climate change] issue, and the Republicans took the right side…”

Dr. Ivar Giaever, Nobel-prize winner in Physics (1973), reported by Climate Depot, July 8, 2015: “Global warming is a non-problem…I say this to Obama: Excuse me, Mr. President, but you’re wrong. Dead wrong.”

Conservationist James Lovelock, who once predicted imminent destruction of the planet via global warming: “The computer models just weren’t reliable. In fact, I’m not sure the whole thing isn’t crazy, this climate change,”he told The Guardian, September 30, 2016.

Nevertheless, the news that Trump is officially withdrawing America from the accord has caused outright hysteria from globalists.

Democratic super-donor Tom Steye, an investor in many green-tech companies, said that Trump is “committing a traitorous act of war against the American people”.

John Kerry, one of the deal’s leading negotiators, said Trump was going to give American kids asthma as soon as this summer. The ACLU, an organization ostensibly centered around “civil rights” bizarrely claimed that leaving the Paris agreement is “a massive step back for racial justice and an assault on communities of color across the US”.

Elon Musk, who runs three companies that all depend on the notion that carbon dioxide will destroy the planet and uses tax money to fund his money-losing ventures, will continue crisscrossing the world in a private jet, but is resigning his symbolic post on a symbolic presidential council.

MSNBC’s Donny Deutsch called the president “a sociopath” and “very dangerous” but could not think of any compelling reasons for coming to these two conclusions.

Serial fabricator and MSNBC anchor Brian Williams described Trump’s announcement as a “dark speech,” and then approvingly quoted an Obama official who likened Trump to Hugo Chavez.

Barack Obama, who has predicted a “low-carbon” world that showers wealth upon fellow believers, said America has joined “a handful of nations that reject the future”.

Now ex-CNN employee, Kathy Griffin’s joke of a beheaded Trump wasn’t quite distasteful enough for the Australian Financial Review, who likened Trump leaving the Paris agreement to beheading the entire planet.

The New York’s Daily News could only muster “Drop dead” printed boldly over Trump’s face.

Fox News anchor Tucker Carlson exposed Miami Beach Mayor Philip Levine by asking him to explain the details of the Paris Accord. Levine had no idea, but tried instead to up his uninformed scaremongering.

Tucker eventually started laughing at the clueless mayor: “Is there a single person watching the show stupid enough to be convinced by what you are saying?”
