It’s a country that irrepressibly shows off its sovereignty, invoking its own historical and cultural traditions, directly or indirectly.
Politicians and journalists who are 40-50 years younger have never read Hungary’s history properly, the Danube Monarchy’s cultural values and above all the uprising in 1956 with horrific consequences for Hungarian patriots and their families.
The head of the T-kontoret, Thede Palm, writes in his book “Några studier till T-kontorets historia” (Stockholm 1999) the following sentence: “My experience is that young journalists, who have neither read nor understood history…” This is the very core of today’s criticism of the Hungarian Republic and an interpretation of the country’s quest for sovereignty and moral independence. For several reasons, the undersigned has paid attention to Hungary through book studies, travels and personal contacts with representatives of the patriotic part of the population.
It is important to be able to understand which factors build up the strength that both Viktor Orbán and his closest collaborators use to not only protect their country but also to preserve moral and historical values belonging to European Christian civilization.
During the uprising of the Hungarian people in the fall of 1956, Yuri Vladimirovich Andropov (1914-1984) was the Soviet Union’s ambassador in Budapest 1954-1957. The same man became in the years 1967-82 leader of the Soviet security service KGB. Andropov oversaw freedom movements in Hungary, Poland and Czechoslovakia. The tragic outcome of the Hungarian uprising is attributed to his efficient repression.
The man responsible for the horrific consequences of the uprising, however, was the then KGB chief in Budapest, Elisey Tikhonovitch Sinitsyn (1909-1995). During 1944 he was stationed as a resident in Stockholm, then he was transferred to Finland.
According to the new demarcation, in accordance with the Yalta Conference in Crimea on February 4-11, 1945, the Soviet Union received a direct border with Hungary. Through this opening, thousands of Hungarian patriots were taken to labor camps in Siberia. Not many came back.
The greatest enemy of Soviet Bolshevism was the Catholic Church. The most famous victim was the Primate and Cardinal of Hungary, József Mindszenty (1892-1975), sentenced to life in prison after a trial in 1949. During the 1956 uprising, he was freed by Hungarian patriots and soon after sought refuge in the American Embassy, where he stayed until 1971.
After he was released, he had to leave Budapest and settle in Vienna. From there he led his criticism of the communist regime so filled with hatred for Christianity.
During this half year, Hungary holds the presidency of the European Union. The country’s head of government thus started a meeting with his own presentation, that is, views on the Union’s activities and the treatment of member states. During this week’s debate in Strasbourg, where Prime Minister Viktor Orbán argued for his political position, incidentally also for other European patriotic circles, EU President Ursula von der Leyen, born Albrecht, became less happy, which was clearly visible on her facial expression.
In her response, she reminded Viktor Orbán of the 1956 uprising, referring to his tolerance towards today’s Russia. But it was a fatal mistake. Soviet Bolshevism’s hatred of genuine national movements and of Hungary’s Christian history was quite different from Hungary’s economic energy relations with today’s Russia. Incidentally, today’s Russia is intensively restoring its Orthodox churches and above all destroyed images (frescoes) in all the towers of the Kremlin.
The Hungarian state respects and helps the old Hungarian nobility by buying up objects that were taken abroad during the German and Soviet occupations. An interesting interview with a representative of the Esterházy family was also shown on German television (ZDF TV). The family gets to dispose of a smaller part of the large castle, which is now a museum. They certainly have no more property but live as respected and patriotic citizens of their own country.
It should be noted that, according to Klaus Schwab in “The Great Reset”, the educated and often wealthy genuine European upper class will disappear from future social structures.
During the last election campaign, when Prime Minister Viktor Orbán was elected for the fourth time, large posters representing Klaus Schwab and Soros junior were displayed. Other warning posters showed George Soros Senior.
“The Soros network is embedded in the European institutions. They are so embedded that the European institutions give them money to operate,” Orban said in his weekly interview in March this year with Hungarian public broadcaster Kossuth Radio.
After almost forty years, the undersigned can tell you that during my long and eventful time as a tour guide in Europe, I have been able to help our Hungarian Christian friends with certain assignments. As a thank you, I received a rock crystal crucifix, a symbol of the Hungarian people’s own suffering during the Soviet Bolshevik era.
