A recitation from the Quran took place on 6 January in St Mary’s Cathedral of the Scottish Episcopal Church. The person reading from the Quran was a young woman named Madinah Javed, and she uploaded a video of the reading on her Facebook-page, later shared by the cathedral on their page.

“It was an honour to recite Qur’an in the beautiful St Mary’s Cathedral and meet such a lovely and kind-hearted community, alhamdulilah”, Madinah Javed wrote as a caption to her video.

The cathedral has even provided a written translation.

    2. I saw a disgusting video of Islamic terrorists beheading Christians in the middle east in a brick square – and THAT is what was being played over their loud-speaker as they did it. Welcome to the Christian Church!??

    3. none of us are perfect ,we are all struggling.it may be of value to hear the words,i;m sure they are innocent, although they may,as more familiar scripture to us,may be misused in a different context,Mr,Martin had a negative experience with these words,so his hearing may be somewhat tainted, whereas this is my first experience n find it holy, especially in this context.i am not fond of Islam,n have no real respect for it;s founder, but i do love People n realize this faith plays a valuable function in their lives.,

    4. I’m Catholic, so I really don’t know the laws of any Protestant religion and church. So please, correct me if I’m wrong, by isn’t this sacrilegious? By both religions?
