Who is Steve Phillips?

Phillips self-identifies as an enthusiast of “Marx, Mao, and Lenin” and his goal is to win Maryland, Georgia, Florida, and Arizona.

He is part of the highly secretive group Democracy Alliance hoping to inject pro-immigration Marxists of colour into four currently Republican-led states, The Epoch Times reported.

Both George Soros and Tom Steyer have gained notoriety for their dedicated funding of far-left causes, but Phillips has managed to escape scrutiny.

Phillips, a radical at Stanford University was active in the Black Student Union, writing for the extremist publication Unity, the newspaper of the League of Revolutionary Struggle (LRS).

Led by professor Gordon H Chang, a member of Beijing’s “influence operation” known as the Committee of 100, the 3 000-member-strong Maoist organisation was the largest pro-China group in the United States at the time.

The LRS was highly secretive and ordered most members to publicly disavow the organisation. Phillips is known to South Africans too. He was active in Stanford Out of South Africa (SOSA), a group pushing for disinvestment from South Africa, in 1985.

“Some of the people who have played roles in organizing SOSA have been folks who’ve worked with Unity and take a Marxist-Leninist perspective. … It’s really exciting to see the principles of Marxism-Leninism being successful and making a difference.”

Since 1994, South Africa has become one of the most violent countries in the world with skyrocketing murder and child rape statistics, not to mention Marxist-driven farm murders.

When Phillips co-founded PowerPAC+, a “social justice organization dedicated to building a multiracial political coalition,” in a December 2012, he boasted: “First, let me make clear that I come out of the Left. I’ve studied Marx, Mao, and Lenin. In college, I organized solidarity efforts for freedom struggles in South Africa and Nicaragua, and I palled around with folks who considered themselves communists and revolutionaries.”

Phillips married fellow Stanford graduate Susan Sandler, daughter of far-left billionaires Herb and Marion Sandler.

Susan Sandler has funded a subscription-based online tool to identify House races most likely to flip in 2018.

They have deployed an algorithm integrating 22 statistical variables, which include demographics, individual vote history, date of voter registration, partisan index scores, and how individual voters changed their vote from 2012 to 2016.

The Take Back Congress Hub has concentrated on racial voting patterns and thus the algorithm identified Florida’s 26th District as one of the most flippable in the country in April.

Carlos Curbelo the incumbent, is Cuban, but non-white Cuban voters have been voting Democrat over the last four cycles.
