In comparison to last year, CNN – already dubbed by US president Donald Trump “very fake news” – has lost 30 percent of its primetime viewers and 23 percent of its total day viewers, AdWeek.com revealed in its “Basic Cable Ranker” report for the week of February 5.
These are not the only problems the far-left cable channel is currently faced with. Massive layoffs, a real fake news crisis, and the demise of its digital platform are other matters that need urgent attention.
The viewership implosion of CNN is nothing short of astounding. Compared to its competition, the network could only manage an average 674 000 total daytime viewers, and during primetime, it averaged a mere 888 000 viewers.
“CNN missed its target by tens of millions of dollars, according to a person with knowledge of the numbers,” Vanity Fair’s Joe Pompeo reported.
CNN thus lags far behind MSNBC and Fox News in last place. Anti-Trump hysteria has earned MSNBC an average of 972 000 day viewers, while pro-Trump Fox News have more viewers than both CNN and MSNBC, who combined have a 1.529 million average.
MSNBC beat CNN by almost a million people watching primetime, with 1.747 million compared to CNN’s 888 000.
Fox beat both MSNBC and CNN combined with a huge 2.605 million viewers. The far-left-leaning CNN did not even make the top 10 for Cable’s prime time viewership.
Even though the network is being derided for its poor news coverage, it continues its ridiculous posture of being “objective and unbiased” and morally irreproachable.
“CNN chief Jeff Zucker has created a veritable Fake News Factory over there – a wildly hypocritical one that has undermined all of its reporting and moral authority,” John Nolte from Breitbart says. “If you are going to pose as a news outlet, your reporting must have credibility. Nobody believes anything CNN reports, nor should they.”
Worse still, CNN continues to lie to its viewers, despite its near total lack of credibility, according to Nolte.
Numerous reasons have reportedly contributed to CNN’s downward spiral – with the latest being its praise and adulation of North Korea while covering the 2018 Winter Olympics in South Korea.
Their sanctimonious presentations are not only hysterical, neurotic, smug and pure hyperbole, but are also continuous vicious attacks on conservatives.
Breitbart’s Nolte pointed to some of their recent headlines such as “Christianity Is Bigotry and Hate,” “Mock Us and We Will Destroy You” and “Give Up Your Freedom to Central Government”.
“No matter what time of day you turn the failing news channel on, it is TRUMP IS HITLER and REPUBLICANS ARE RACIST and WORSE THAN WATERGATE and I’M OUTRAGED and I’M STILL OUTRAGED or PUSHING CUCKHOLDING and REPUBLICANS ARE SEXUAL DEVIANTS and GIMME YOUR GUNS and TRUMP IS CRAZY,” Project Republic Today (PRT) listed some of the network’s headlines.
“Even if you agree with CNN’s abnormal worldview and dreadful politics, the hate machine’s sharp and holier-than-thou presentation is so crazy, so deranged, so self-righteous and one-note, it is just not engaging to watch,” PRT’s Benjamin DeLisi noted.
CNN falsely reported that candidate Donald Trump and his son Donald J. Trump, Jr. had access to hacked documents from WikiLeaks. In December 2017, CNN had to correct its “exclusive report”.
Trump actually gave the broadcaster four of his “fake news” awards in January to escalate his attacks on the leftist media.
