In a manifesto posted online, the leader of the PVV Geert Wilders declared his intention to achieve a total de-Islamification of the Netherlands. This means banning the Quran and mosques, as well as ending immigration from Muslim countries and closing down Islamic schools and asylum centers. Last month Wilders stated:

“I also don’t have a problem with people from Slovakia and Lithuania. But I do have a problem with immigration from Islamic countries.”

Wilders has also vowed to hold a referendum on Netherlands’ membership of the EU:

“The EU leaves us no freedom to determine our own immigration and asylum laws. That’s why leaving the EU is necessary.”

PVV is today the largest party in the Netherlands according to polls.
