The country has gained a degree of autonomy through the process of devolution to provide medical and psychological help to victims of the Islamic practice imported from Africa and Asia.
Conservative Wales, is also the second-smallest, with a population of only around three million and relatively low level of immigration. Neighbouring England already boasts five such FGM clinics.
The National Society for the Protection of Cruelty to Children (NSPCC) estimates there are at least 13 000 victims of FGM in the United Kingdom.
Figures obtained by the BBC from 2016 show maternity staff in Wales were discovering a new FGM case once every three days, on average, Breitbart reported. But a case of female genital mutilation (FGM) is either discovered or treated at a medical appointment in England every hour, according to analysis of NHS statistics by a charity, The Independent reported.
The Welsh Women’s Aid charity estimated that there were at least 2 000 victims in the country in need of state-sponsored remedies to multiculturalism.
FGM is linked to Islamic migration, especially from Africa and Indonesia, which is the world’s largest Muslim-majority country by population and where the practice is strongly promoted by the Ulema Council.
Yet British authorities have yet to bring a single successful prosecution for the practice since it was criminalised more than 30 years ago.
Police have instead been issuing statements in which they maintain that the crime is “nuanced” and arrests “unlikely to benefit [the] child”. It has continued unabated.
