The Berliner Zeitung reported that the two Afghans are said to have been traveling with the girl a week ago. At a playground, the two then dragged the teenager into a public restroom. While the 18-year-old suspect held the girl down, 21-year-old Mohammad F raped her, according to the paper.
Two days after the crime, the victim, accompanied by relatives, went to the police to report the rapists. The adolescent had been so badly traumatized that the questioning had to be interrupted. On Friday, police arrested Mohammed F.
His alleged accomplice, is already known to police for having committed bodily assault. He is currently on the loose. According to the director of the refugee home in which he is housed, the 18-year-old is on vacation in another state at the moment.
The police tried to justify their decision to BZ on why they had not yet made the case public. But a police officer who spoke on condition of anonimity, told the newspaper: “The incident is kept under lock and key by the city and police, because they fear reactions like back in Freiburg.”
A serious sexual crime by “refugees” had recently stirred tensions in the German city of Freiburg after a mob of Syrian migrants raped an 18-year-old woman.
The crime happened in October this year. The young woman was given a drink in a Freiburg discotheque by a man who may have spiked the beverage with drugs. After she had drunk it, the offender dragged out his victim into nearby bushes. Then at least ten men raped the defenseless woman.
Hundreds of AfD protesters took to the streets of Freiburg against the suspected gang rape.
