The press service of the police issued a run-of-the-mill statement on Tuesday about assault number 1 264. The number hides a brutal assault on two policemen, in which a female officer finally had to pull out her service weapon to bring the situation under control.
During the night of Tuesday, the two policemen had noticed during their patrol, that a young foreigner had carelessly parked his car. When the officer spoke to the driver, he began to insult her.
The other police officer wanted to establish the identity of the suspect, whereupon he was attacked and crushed by the 23-year-old driver and a 21-year-old passenger. As the policeman lay on the ground, the two suspects continued to kick him.
A 27-year-old woman, who also sat in the car, then beat the female colleague of the policeman who was still lying on the ground. This finally pushed her to pull out her service weapon and she threatened to shoot their attackers.
Two suspects then fled. In the meantime, the mother of the thugs appeared and filmed the police operation, ignoring the fact that the two injured officers had to receive outpatient treatment at the nearest hospital.
The police told Berlin weekly Junge Freiheit, that the three perpetrators were German citizens with a so-called migration background. They are being investigated for dangerous assault and assault on enforcement officials, but have been released from custody.
