Spain’s Covid-19 cases jump to more than 100 000
Spanish Coronavirus cases now stand at 102 135 (previously 94 417) and deaths have increased by 864 to 9053 (previously 8189). The government is facing a lawsuit for gross negligence.
MadridSeven countries have reported more than 40 000 cases of Covid-19, with the US, Italy and Spain topping the charts, according to Johns Hopkins data.
The Spanish government is meanwhile being sued for gross negligence because it encouraged women to attend giant feminist rallies across the country on March 8, During the rallies, hundreds of thousands of people were potentially exposed to the new Coronavirus.
A class action lawsuit was filed on March 19 accusing the Spanish government of knowingly endangering public safety by encouraging the public to participate in more than 75 feminist marches to mark International Women’s Day.
