Race protesters in Paris called to ‘take up the gun’

The prefecture of Paris is worried about two new rallies planned this weekend in front of the Embassy of the United States and on the Champ de Mars. The organisers of the tribute to US race riot symbol George Floyd, are seeking to unite several ultra-left organisations, anti-white movements and anti-police collectives.

During the demonstration on June 2, banned by the Paris police headquarters, organised by Assa Traore, the sister of Adama Traoré who died after a police check, the police services had anticipated the arrival of 7 000 up to 10 000 people, in the high range. In reality, 23 000 to 25 000 people showed up in front of the Paris court, the Tribunal de Grande Instance, blocking the ring road, burning trash bins and attacking the police. At the end of this demonstration, the municipal police station of Clichy was set on fire.

According to several sources in the intelligence services, between 10 000 and 20 000 people are expected this Saturday, June 6 in Paris. And “several tens of thousands” will gather for another event, according to these sources, on Sunday at the initiative of SOS Racisme in particular, with a possible concert.

Since the death of the Malian Adama Traoré, public debate has been intoxicated by the extremist version put forward by the Traoré family, who despite the expert reports has repeatedly accused the police of killing their brother. His sister had called for an illegal march to coincide with US race protests this week.

A total of four autopsy reports have been issued for Traoré. Despite claims to the contrary, a French legal report in 2020 showed that Traoré was high on drugs and that there was tetrahydrocannabinol in his blood. The official medical report listed heart failure as cause of death. A report commissioned independently of law enforcement, however claimed asphyxiation as the cause of death.

Race activists argue that his death was the direct result of excessive use of force by the police and this has sparked major protests in Paris, Lyon, and Toulouse under the slogan Justice pour Adama.

These protests have styled themselves after the American Black Lives Matter movement, and are focused on the alleged disproportionate rates of police violence inflicted on blacks and Arabs. But in the US – with 325 million inhabitants – only 10 unarmed black people died at the hands of law enforcement last year.

This prompted Fox host Tucker Carlson to expose the media lies about race violence directed at black people.

Maghreb singer Camélia Jordana, after accusing the police of racist violence, incited crowds to take up arms at the illegal Traoré protest.

On Tuesday, June 2, the singer was seen leading the illegal demonstration demanding “justice” for Adama Traoré. She called for armed revolt.

With her fist raised in a Black Power salute, Jordana, in the middle of a crowd of more than 20 000 people, sang: “Revolution has come! Time to pick up the gun!”

Jordana was also involved in a drug control altercation on the banks of the Seine on Sunday, May 31.

After declaring that black and Arab youths in the suburbs “are massacred for no reason other than their skin colour” by the police, Jordana got involved in a police control for the use of narcotic drugs, attacking the officers who had stopped a suspect involved in multiple assaults and haranguing passers-by.

These demonstrations, held in the midst of a health crisis in France, should be prosecuted and condemned for deliberately endangering the lives of others and involuntary killings, Nicolas Dupont-Aignan, president of Debout la France and Member of Parliament for Essonne, told Valeurs Actuelles.

“The demonstrations that pretend to the death of Adama Traoré in July 2016 are sadly ironic: many people demand an investigation and harsh penalties for recklessness or clumsiness which led to the death of this person… while committing a serious and repeated offense.”

He pointed out that “judicial expert reports in the presence of all the parties concluded that the police were innocent”. But the family now denies the probative value of these analyzes by producing “non-adversarial expertise” – that is to say an expertise carried out by a person paid only by the civil party and without the knowledge of the respondents.

According to Dupont-Aignan, this not a credible argument. “For good measure, family members added a complaint for failure to assist a person in danger. However, this qualification is erased before manslaughter because the same facts can only give rise to a single criminal conviction, generally the most serious offense.”

He said the protesters have probably heard of the Covid-19 pandemic and they know that by coming together they promote the of spread of the Coronavirus and that part of the infected risks death. “At least one person is likely to die as a result of such a gathering.”

Article 1 of Decree No. 2020-548 of May 11, 2020 also prohibits meetings of more than ten people and requires staying at least one meter from the others on public roads.

“By meeting, these demonstrators therefore commit the crime of manslaughter by recklessness and even by manifestly deliberate violation of a particular obligation of prudence or safety imposed by law or regulation,” he said.

If these demonstrators are not arrested, it would would mean a double standard applies to French citizens based on race.
