The events of January 6 in Washington, DC still require clarification. But there is hard evidence that Antifa members disguised as Trump supporters infiltrated the protesters who had made their way into the US Capitol on Wednesday.
Washington, DCThe Washington Times, by no means a pro-Trump news outlet, reported that two Antifa members from Philadelphia had been inside the Capitol. One of them even had a communist tattoo on his arm.
A retired military officer showed The Washington Times software evidence from the firm XRVision which ran facial recognition on protesters and matched two Philadelphia Antifa members to two men that had penetrated the Senate. The source provided the photo match to The Times.
XRVision also identified another man who regularly appears as a supporter at climate and Black Lives Matter protests.
According to the American investigative journalist Paul Sperry, a “bus full of Antifa” had mingled with Trump supporters.
In a televised address, President-elect Joe Biden called the capture of the Capitol “sedition”. He recalled the highly sacred character of the Capitol, symbol of American democracy. “The scenes of chaos that took place on Capitol Hill are not the true face of America (…) What we saw there is the action of a small number of extremists who do not respect the law,” continued the Democratic president.
