Italian MPs who are over 50 and who have not been vaccinated three times will not be allowed into the Italian parliament. Italian MP Raphael Raduzzi announced this on Wednesday.

Nowhere else in the Western world is such a measure in force, Raduzzi stressed. “Let everyone know what [Prime Minister] Draghi is doing here.”

In the Netherlands, too, the measure has been met with horror. “Italian MPs, over 50, who are not fully vaccinated, are no longer allowed to enter parliament. They cannot even vote against the decree that establishes this measure. Unprecedented in the Western world,” said former Member of Parliament Henk Krol.

Member of parliament Wybren van Haga added: “Unbelievable.” FVD frontman Thierry Baudet also commented on the total lack of scientific evidence for this extreme measure: “Corona deception.”

At the beginning of this year, the Italian government decided that Corona vaccinations would become mandatory for residents aged 50 and older. The obligation applies until mid-June. The vaccination was already mandatory for teachers and healthcare workers.

“We are intervening especially in age groups most at risk of hospitalisation to reduce the pressure on hospitals and save lives,” Draghi said. Ministers of the right-wing League said there was “no scientific basis” for the measure.
