The word “nazism” has trended in South Africa, with Denmark also joining the fray. The official German Twitter account has been carpeting the country with tweets about their moral superiority and victimhood in an effort to stop the truth about the terrible plight of Donbass surfacing in South Africa.
The problem is that some communities remember the British concentration camps during the Anglo-Boer War and have drawn obvious parallels to the suffering of children in Donbass. Russian volunteers had fought on the side of the Boers.
Dear subscribers, we have received a great number of letters of solidarity from South Africans, both individuals and organizations. We appreciate your support and glad you decided to stand with us today, when Russia, like 80 years ago, is fighting Nazism in Ukraine! 🇷🇺🇿🇦 pic.twitter.com/vj0N6ClhSJ

The Russian Embassy in South Africa tweeted on March 5, thanking “numerous letters of solidarity from South Africans – both individuals and organizations”.
The tweet noted the support from South Africans to fight Nazism in Ukraine. The German embassy in Pretoria promptly responded to the tweet, stating: “Sorry, but we can’t keep quiet, that’s just too cynical.”
Sorry, but we can't stay silent on this one, it's just far too cynical. What 🇷🇺 is doing in 🇺🇦 is slaughtering innocent children, women and men for its own gain. It's definitely not "fighting Nazism". Shame on anyone who's falling for this. (Sadly, we're kinda experts on Nazism.)

Russia is allegedly slaughtering men, women and children in Ukraine out of self-interest, not because of Nazis. The tweet became a viral hit with almost 80 000 likes and more than 20 000 retweets within 24 hours: “Shame on anyone who’s falling for this. (Sadly, we’re kinda experts on Nazism.)”
German mainstream politicians of the “traffic-light” coalition currently slander any opposition to their green ideals as “Nazi” and the fact that real Nazis are running the show in Ukraine, pushing for a world war with German support, must present them with a special kind of dilemma.
The Russian embassy in Great Britain finally intervened in the discussion and pointed out that Germany had been silent about the Donbass conflict for eight long years. German diplomats should regret that they had failed to persuade Ukraine to fulfil the Minsk agreements and shunned negotiations with representatives from Donetsk and Luhansk.
“Sadly, Germany was silent all these 8 years. Where were you, experts? What you really should be sorry for, is for failing to persuade Ukraine to implement Minsk Agreements and sit down for negotiations with Donetsk and Lugansk, as envisaged in them,” the Russian diplomatic mission responded.

In another tweet, the embassy also shared photos of the “Avenue of Angels” in Donetsk. There is a memorial to the children killed in the Donbass conflict since 2014.
