The elephant in the room: The deadly flu epidemic of 2017/2018

The main argument for these draconian measures is a possible overload of hospitals, especially the intensive care units, due to an inflated number of Corona patients.

When a former Chief Science Officer for the pharmaceutical giant Pfizer warned however that “there is no science to suggest a second wave should happen,” his video was taken down from YouTube in less than 2 hours.

The insider, Dr Michael Yeadon, believes that false positive results from inherently unreliable Covid-19 tests are being used to manufacture a “second wave” based on “new cases”. Yeadon’s warnings are confirmed by a new study from the Infectious Diseases Society of America.

The German government’s argument about overflowing hospital emergency rooms, has since been refuted by a study in which 421 clinics participated anyway. Almost 2,8 million hospital cases during the “first corona wave” from March to August 2020 were evaluated.

With regard to the feared overloading of the hospitals, it turned out that there were fewer patients with a severe acute respiratory infection (SARI) in the period mentioned than in the comparison months of 2019. In addition, there were in 2020 fewer sick people in the intensive care unit and overall less ventilation than in 2019.

Covid-19 has therefore neither led to more clinically registered SARI patients in Germany nor to more intensive care admissions or ventilation. Overall, the German health system saw no more such patients than it had during the normal flu season last year.

Nevertheless, with the active help of the mainstream media, the government has been hammering German citizens day after day to deprive them of their basic rights, pretending that there is no alternative to the latest coercive Corona measures.

But there is also another proverbial elephant in the political and media room, which cannot be overlooked and yet is hushed up by the mainstream. This elephant is called Influenza and it begs the question of why Corona is being singled out as the only danger.

Even the World Health Organization now admits that Covid-19 is significantly less dangerous than previously thought. There are at least as many long-term and after effects from Influenza as have been found with the Coronavirus.

In Germany to date, no significant excess mortality related to the Coronavirus has been signalled, whereas during the flu epidemic in winter 2017/2018 more than 25 000 lives were lost. During this flu epidemic, the hospital system actually collapsed in parts – in contrast to Covid.

If there had been similar scenes in German hospitals like the one in a video that was filmed during the flu wave in the winter of 2017/2018, the Merkel administration would have locked up all citizens and thrown away the key.

The result of an observation study at the University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf showed how dangerous the Influenza strain that caused the flu epidemic in winter 2017/2018 had been. The period from December 25, 2017 to April 8, 2018 was observed.

The main results revealed that 24 percent of the Influenza smears in the emergency room of the university hospital were positive. In total, an Influenza infection was found in 255 patients. Of these 255, 179 were treated as inpatients and 51 in intensive care. Of the 255 patients who tested positive for Influenza, 23 died, that is 9 percent. Of those who had died, four had been vaccinated against the flu.

During this flu epidemic, the health system in Germany was actually brought to the edge of a cliff. Nevertheless, nothing, absolutely nothing, was done to better prepare for such cases in the future. Media coverage of this most serious flu epidemic in almost 30 years was also limited. Most people never realized how dramatic the situation had been back then.

Shutting down public and economic life using “Corona” as an excuse and accepting the devastating consequences, while at the same time shrugging off one of the most severe flu epidemics, strips any coercive Corona measures of logic, credibility and acceptance.

The so-called recent “Civil Protection Act” was pushed through the German Bundestag at record speed and many MPs did not know what they were voting on, and only a few had the courage to evade parliamentary group pressure. The law is not well received by citizens, but those who had tried to demonstrate peacefully in Berlin, were hosed with water cannons.

And in the event of a quarantine violation (completely healthy people can now be quarantined) there is a risk of fines of up to 25 000 euros or imprisonment.
