Keeping the Germans compliant with 9-euro tickets

On the Pentecost weekend, the Berlin party cartel resorted to political populism to try to calm a nervous country. It could be observed in the stations and trains going to Sylt as Germans fought each other for a train seat.

The flock of sheep (one is reluctant to call them citizens), in the end squeezed into wagons like sardines, and behaved exactly like the compliant mass that will secure the party cartel’s grip on power for the time being when they got off.

However, it is uncertain how long this power can be maintained without disruption because a 9-euro ticket to the millionaire’s playground Sylt, fuel discount or energy cost aid will not be able to mask the effects on a sharp economic downturn. With persistently high inflation and the negative consequences of the sanctions aimed at Russia, the time is not too far away when the state power can no longer cover up, gloss over and deny the true situation: The German economy is shrinking and fast.

At least 50 percent of cars and effectively 100 percent of trucks in Europe are diesel-powered. So, most European refineries are currently designed to distill the sanctioned Russian Urals blend as Venezuelan and Iran oils are considered too heavy for diesel fuel production. The problem is real and entirely self-inflicted.

US refineries have always ranked the highest in refinery complexity index, averaging 9.5, compared with Europe’s at 6.5 anyway. Incidentally, the Jamnagar Refinery in India is now one of the most complex refineries in the world with a Nelson complexity index of 21.1.

Even with mass migration of 2015 onwards, voters could be convinced quite effectively that it was about “humanity” and “We can do it!”. And with Corona, fear and chaos were spread in order to make people docile.

But with the new threats to their livelihoods, millions of Germans will not swallow appeasement and populist solutions will not provide cover in the long run. Because even if the younger generations in particular no longer supposedly know what an inflation rate is, they and everyone else will feel its consequences irretrievably when it comes to consumption, rental costs, bills for energy consumption, travelling, etc.

The power cartel and its obedient media will leave no stone unturned to make restrictions palatable for the good subjects (“Putin is to blame”). In the end it won’t help much. Because even the patient Germans will not be able to refuse the ugly realization that their economic situation is deteriorating rapidly and so-called “relief” will only help in the short term.

The political lies about Ukraine winning the war will be exposed soon too. Therefore the sheeple’s efforts in taking cold showers “to stick it to Putin” will have been in vain. Russian troops could soon wrest the remainder of the Donbass region from Ukraine’s forces, according to Germany’s foreign intelligence agency, the BND. Mainstream outlet Spiegel reported this rare nugget of truth, but for anyone with an IQ higher than room temperature, this has been evident since that extremely long convoy of Russian tanks sat outside Kiev uncontested in the opening days of the conflict. No “journalist” had bothered to ask “why”.

The British and by extension the US, clearly believe that one way to cover up the gigantic propaganda failure and their outrageous lies, is to up the ante. War would be a very convenient way of hiding their next Afghanistan, this time on steroids. Despite clear warnings from Russian President Vladimir Putin, Britain wants to support Ukraine with long-range multiple rocket launchers for the first time. The Ministry of Defense in London announced on Monday that the delivery of the US-made multiple rocket launcher artillery system (MLRS) to Ukraine was closely coordinated with the government in Washington.

On Sunday, Putin warned Western countries not to supply Ukraine with long-range missiles. Otherwise, “we will draw the appropriate conclusions and use our weapons […] to hit objects that we have not hit so far,” he said, according to Russian news agencies. He did not provide any more detailed information on potential targets, but you can bet your bottom dollar that the British believe such targets would be in Europe. Either way, gloom and doom awaits the sheeple. The only question now is whether it will be poverty with a side of conflict or not.

It could well be, since the planned delivery of the M270 multiple rocket launchers by the British has now been announced. The weapon system can hit targets up to 80 kilometers away with precision-guided missiles.

It remains to be seen in the coming years what conclusions the Germans will draw from this politically. In any case, poverty is one of the very few tough issues which cannot be ideologically papered over with propaganda and framing. War would much easier to sell, even if it has the same dire outcome for ordinary folks.

    The inflation hoax

Yes, prices are rising, but not for the reasons the Federal Reserve says. When I say inflation is a hoax, I mean the purported cause is a hoax. The Fed is fighting a consumer inflation, a “demand-pull” inflation. But what we are experiencing is a supply-side inflation caused by the Covid lockdowns and economic sanctions that closed businesses, disrupted supply chains, and broke business relationships while reducing energy supplies to the UK and European countries, thus forcing up costs in a globalized economy.
